When you’re in the midst of opening your first restaurant, one thing comes above all else – safety. You’ll need to find the right gas fitter to work on your gas lines and keep them running safely; and here’s what you should look for:
Know the difference between a Plumber and a Gas Fitter
You may see or hear about plumbers performing work on gas lines. Yes, they can sometimes, but only for a very limited variety of things. Some plumbers can work on your gas lines for water-related needs such as boilers, but nothing else. An actual gas fitter on the other hand can work on all of your appliances that use gas. Make sure that you’re hiring the right person.
Ask around for gas fitters with good reviews
If you can’t find a gas fitter that’s right for you on your own, try asking around. Sometimes it can actually be better to hire a gas fitter north shore through somebody who has used their service before because then you know exactly what you’re getting into from the start.
Cheaper does NOT always mean better
You should never hire a gas fitter just because they have an appealing price listed for their service. If you do this, you’re more than likely going to have to call someone else to come to fix their mistakes. Find a person who can get the job done right the first time.
They should be certified and insured
If you stumble across somebody who can’t prove that they are certified and insured, you should look elsewhere. If they are not certified they may not be qualified to successfully work on your lines; if they’re uninsured, you’ll have to cover the costs if they make mistakes.
